Petron to put up more autogas stations
Petron Corp., the largest oil refinery in the Philippines, plans to expand its network for autogas, or liquefied petroleum gas used as vehicle fuel, to cities outside of Metro Manila amid a growing industry, a ranking company official said. Petron president Khalid al-Faddagh said the company would put up more LPG filling stations initially in Cebu. Petron currently operates 10 autogas stations. Petron has started offering Xtend, its new auto LPG brand, to the public. The Philippine Department of Energy released a circular March 1 containing guidelines and standards for autogas.
