Petron introduces Euro-4 premium gasoline in local market

Petron Corporation recently introduced a Euro-4 premium gasoline, a first in the Philippine market. This premium gasoline primarily targets high-end cars.
The fuel was initially launched in 24 service stations in Luzon, including key areas in Metropolitan Manila. Market expansion in the second and third largest island groups in the Philippine archipelago, namely Visayas and Mindanao, is forthcoming, the oil firm said.
Petron Chairman and CEO Ramon S. Ang said that the Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4 “is proudly Philippine made.” Petron owns the only remaining refinery in the country, located in Limay, Bataan.
Blaze 100 Euro 4 has a research octane number (RON) rating of 100, with “exceptional resistance to engine knocking which damages car engines quite quickly.” It has a low sulfur content of 50 parts per million (ppm) and a maximum benzene content of 1.0 percent.
