PetroChina starts construction of hydrogenation unit in Lanzhou

PetroChina’s Lanzhou Petrochemical has started construction of a catalytic gasoline hydrogenation unit with an annual production capacity of 1.8 million metric tons. Lanzhou Petrochemical is one of PetroChina’s major crude oil refineries and petrochemical bases. It is capable of refining some 10.5 million tons of crude oil every year, while its ethylene cracking capacity is about 700,000 tons per year. (April 8, 2010)
