PetroChina speeds up retail network expansion

PetroChina Co. Ltd. has geared up retail network expansion as planned, to build and acquire more gas and oil service stations nationwide, sources reported. The company recently won bids for two gasoline station parcels in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province. An energy analyst said PetroChina beat Sinopec during the bidding, signifying PetroChina’s determination to compete with Sinopec in the central region of China. The race will spread to other cities and regions in the country. (July 6, 2010)
