PetroChina eyes higher output at Fushun refinery

With the completion of a 2.4 million metric ton-per-year (MTPY) delayed coker last week, PetroChina’s 11.5 million MTPY Fushun refinery is able to process up to 2.4 million MTPY of residual fuel oil, up from 1.2 million MTPY earlier.  This means a higher output of refined products such as gasoline, gasoil and LPG, PetroChina parent CNPC said, without releasing further details. The rise in output of higher-value products would help the refinery achieve its targeted turnover of 50 billion yuan (US$7.4 billion) for 2010, a refinery source said. (August 3, 2010)
