Petro Rabigh appoints new president

Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh), a joint venture between state-owned Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) and Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical Co., has appointed Ziad Sami Al-Labban as president and chief executive officer effective August 1. Labban, an employee of Saudi Aramco who has been seconded to Petro Rabigh, has held many senior positions including president of Saudi Refining Co. in Houston, director of long-range planning at Saudi Aramco, and vice president of Petron Corp. in the Philippines. He succeeds Saad Fahad Al-Dosari, who will retire. (July 25, 2009)
