Pertamina to lift storage capacity of Tanjung Uban
Indonesia’ s state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina plans to boost the capacity of its oil products storage tanks in Tanjung Uban almost fourfold to 3 million barrels to secure domestic consumption, a company official said. Pertamina’s Tanjung Uban storage tanks are on Bintan island, near Singapore. In February, Pertamina’s President Director Karen Agustiawan said the company planned to increase the Tanjung Uban storage capacity to 1.1 million barrels, from 800,000 barrels. “We expect the construction will be started next year and the expansion to be concluded by 2015,” Rusnaedy Johari, Pertamina’s Integrated Supply Chain vice president, said.
