Pertamina to enter overseas fuel markets

Indonesia’s state oil and gas company PT Pertamina plans to establish its first overseas gas station in Sydney, Australia, in the first half of this year, the company said. “We expect to build at least one gas station in Sydney before mid-year. We have allocated about Rp 60 billion (US$6.51 million) for this purpose. If this is enough for two fuel stations, we will build two,” Pertamina’s Deputy Director for Marketing and Trading Hanung Budya said. Hanung said Pertamina also plans to build a fuel station in Malaysia either this year or next with Malaysia’s state-owned oil and gas company Petronas, to identify a site for its first station in Malaysia.
