Pertamina raises prices of Pertamax, Pertamax Plus
Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina has raised the price of its high-octane fuels, Pertamax and Pertamax Plus, by Rp100 (US$0.01) in April due to rising international crude oil prices. The increase was applied to all regions across Indonesia, said spokesman Anang Rizkani Noor. In Greater Jakarta, Pertamax rose from Rp 5,900 (US$0.56) to Rp 6,000 (US$0.57) per liter, and Pertamax Plus from Rp 6,500 (US$0.62) to Rp 6,600 (US$0.63) per liter. Pertamax and Pertamax Plus are the brand names for two of the non-subsidized fuels sold by Pertamina. (April 16, 2009)
