Pertamina cuts non-subsidized fuel prices
Indonesian oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has reduced the price of its high-octane fuels, the company said in a press statement. Pertamina lowered the prices of its non-subsidized high-octane Pertamax, Pertamax Plus and Bio Pertamax by Rp300 (US$0.03) per liter to Rp6,500 (US$0.59) per liter, Rp6,800 (US$0.61) per liter and Rp6,500 per liter, respectively. “The price cuts are effective as of December 10, 2008 at all Pertamina marketing units,” the statement read. The Finance Ministry said the government planned to cut subsidized fuel prices also, saying several schemes were to be discussed. (December 10, 2008)
