Pakistan OMCs to sell E10 at 200 pumps by 2010
Pakistan oil marketing companies (OMCs) will establish 200 ethanol petrol pumps across the country by 2010 at a cost Rs4 billion (US$48.10 million). Pakistan State Oil (PSO) will initiate the work in this regard, by setting up 30 E10 filling stations in various cities around the country. The company has started selling E10 for Rs2.40 (US$0.03) per liter less than regular gasoline, from one of its petrol pumps recently. The government has exempted E10 from sales taxes. (July 21, 2009)
