Oxford Catalysts sells GTL technology in Thailand
Oxford Catalysts Group, a U.K. company for clean synthetic fuels, said it had signed a binding memorandum of understanding with Thai state-owned energy company PTT Public Co. Ltd. (PTT) for developing and commercializing gas-to-liquid (GTL) facilities. Under the terms of the agreement, PTT will provide funding of US$5 million over two years for the development and commercialization of Oxford’s steam methane reforming technology, a key component in the GTL process. In addition, PTT will invest in microchannel reactor testing facilities, to be located at the PTT Research and Technology Institute near Bangkok, to accelerate the project. Upon completion of the development, PTT will receive certain preferential rights for commercial deployment of the group’s GTL technology. (January 26, 2010)
