Oiltanking links storage tanks to Jurong Island by pipeline
Oiltanking GmbH, which has 1.2 million cubic meters (cu m) of tank space in Singapore, and Singapore Refining Co. (SRC) have commissioned pipelines linking Oiltanking’s storage tanks to Jurong Island. This would give Oiltanking Singapore, a joint venture between Oiltanking and London, U.K.-based 3i Infrastructure P.L.C., an edge in providing more efficient clean product storage services to customers. Oiltanking is already linked by pipeline to Royal Dutch Shell’s Pulau Bukom. Rivals Royal Vopak , the world’s largest storage operator, Universal and Tankstore, are not linked by pipeline to any of Singapore’s three refineries, which process a total 1.3 million barrels per day (bpd) of crude.
