NSW to introduce vapor recovery systems at retail outlets
The Service Station Association says New South Wales Hunter motorists will face higher petrol prices when the government introduces new technology to capture fuel vapors. The association’s Hunter representative, Richard Halstead, says many service stations will pass the cost on to motorists and some could face closure. “If it was going to happen then it would have to be a levy at the manufacturing level because little service stations, or local mum and dad service stations, or even medium sized service stations that are run and operated by business people cannot recover that cost,” he said.
