NQBE opens local office
North Queensland Bio-Energy Corp., the company planning a US$400 million sugar/ethanol/power generation plant at Ingham, is officially open for business. NQBE Chairman Robert Carey said an office was opened in Lannercost street, Ingham, Queensland, to deal with enquiries from cane growers and the general public. “The project has created enormous interest in the Herbert River district and the time is approaching when local cane farmers, residents and companies will be able to invest in the company, so it is important we have an office to deal with what is currently a steady stream of enquiries,” Carey said.
