Novozymes inaugurates new R&D center in India

Novozymes, the world’s largest producer of industrial enzymes, opened its new state-of-the art research & development center and office at Whitefield in Bangalore, India. The new center was inaugurated by Novozymes’ Chief Executive Officer Steen Riisgaard and Executive Vice President for Research & Development Per Falholt. The new Novozymes building will house its Indian operations, including global support services and the R&D center. The R&D center will undertake protein engineering work for Novozymes’ global requirements and will act as a resource base for the company’s global discovery projects. The center will also serve as an application technology excellence center for Novozymes’ global juice and wine industry requirements. (November 22, 2010)
