Noble Argentina to invest US$50 million in biofuel project
Noble Argentina, a subsidiary Hong Kong-based Noble Group Ltd. , one of the world’s largest commodity traders, will build a new biodiesel plant along the Parana River in Santa Fe Province at a cost of US$50 million. The new biodiesel facility will include a power generation plant. The biodiesel produced at the plant will be used to reduce the use of natural gas and fuel oil at the oilseed crushing plant. The daily capacity for the crushing plant is approximately 10,000 tons of soy oil and soy meal. (June 24, 2011)
