Nippon oil to trial new hybrid bus with biodiesel

Japans Nippon Oil Corp. will run a trial test of a new hybrid bus fueled by its second-generation hydrogenated diesel fuel, which is supposed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 25%. The fuel has been jointly developed with Toyota Motor Corp. and Hino Motors. This will be a world first, to operate hybrid buses using the fuel. (September 21, 2007)
