Nippon Fine Chemical to increase Chinese production of lubricants
Nippon Fine Chemical Co. will increase Chinese production of lubricants that are used to make the surface of resin films smoother. The company recently spent ¥800 million (US$10.3 million) for the relocation of a plant within Sichuan Province, and for building a new structure and upgrading equipment, which raised the current capacity by 20% to 3,000 tons a year. The relocation will also allow the company to increase its production of fatty acid amides which are made from vegetable oils. Nippon fine Chemical manufactures lubricants in Japan and China, but the company is planning to expand exports to the Middle East. (December 6, 2011)
