Nanjing withdraws plans to launch MG in U.S.
Nanjing Automobile Group Corporation, a China-based carmaker, has cancelled its plans to launch its MG in the United States. The carmaker had initially planned to produce sports-car inspired MG vehicles in Oklahoma, and was also planning to establish a research and development facility at the University of Oklahoma. According to Austin Rover Online, The USA isn’t on the short-term radar as an anticipated market for us, but with the right product, it would be good to return there. (August 27, 2008)
