Mitsubishi Motors to launch commercial electric vehicle in 2012

Mitsubishi Motors Corp. plans to roll out a commercial electric vehicle and an electric compact car in 2012, President Osamu Masuko said in an interview with The Nikkei. The company expanded sales of its first electric vehicle, the i-MiEV, to consumers in April after initially offering them only to corporations. By the end of Fiscal 2012, it aims to broaden its electric-vehicle offerings by adding the commercial model, as well as the electric-motor version of a new strategic compact car. (June 9, 2010)
