Mission NewEnergy begins commissioning of second biodiesel plant

Mission Newenergy Ltd has begun commissioning its second biodiesel refinery in Malaysia. Mission’s biodiesel refineries are located in Kuantan Port in Malaysia. Currently operating a 100,000 ton per annum biodiesel facility, Mission’s second refinery is adjacent to the first and will raise Mission’s capacity to 350,000 tons. Mission has negotiated a commissioning assistance contract with turnkey contractor KNM, for the supply of palm oil and other input materials. In consideration for the supply of raw materials pursuant to the commissioning of the plant, which previously was the obligation of Mission, it has agreed to extend the completion period to July 31, 2009, waiving any currently accrued liquidated damages.
