Ministry wants biofuel companies to re-apply for license by April

Malaysia’s Primary Industries and Commodities Ministry has given those companies who have received approved licenses to produce biofuels, and have not done so, until April 2009 to re-apply for a new operating license. Since November 1, 2008, the Ministry has taken charge over issuing biofuel-manufacturing licenses from the International Trade and Industry Ministry, under the new Malaysian Biofuel Industry Act 2007.
