Mazda and Chinese partners see increase in vehicle sales in China

The Dow Jones reported that Mazda Motor Corporation, together with its Chinese Partners, plan to increase vehicle sales in China this year by 26% from last year, to 270,000 cars. Inspite of the slowdown in sales growth in the country in the past few months, Mazda and its Chinese partners said they will increase the number of retail outlets in the country by 15% this year, from the current 365 to 420, by the end of the year. The company said it will launch several new and redesigned models this year, starting with the CX-5 compact sport utility van. (February 13, 2012)
