Maruti launches eco-friendly vehicle

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (MSIL) launched the “Eeco”, a new C segment vehicle designed specifically for the requirements of Indians, by the auto major. After unveiling the car, MSIL Managing Executive Officer I.V. Rao said that Eeco was launched to fulfill the twin objectives of being a spacious family car and a dependable vehicle to run businesses. Eeco with its new powerful 1200-cc engine, a new transmission system to meet the diverse consumer aspirations of flexibility for dual use, would be an attraction and India’s first green car among C segment vehicles, he said.
