Lytton refinery resumes operations ahead of schedule
Caltex Australia has brought its 105,000 barrel per day refinery at Lytton, Brisbane, back on line two weeks ahead of schedule following a planned partial turnaround, with production resuming on October 3, spokeswoman Georgie Wells said. It was reported on August 31 that the turnaround at the Lytton refinery would last no more than six weeks, during which maintenance would be carried out on the No. 1 diesel hydrotreater, the benzene plant and the reformer. Caltex owns and operates two refineries in Australia, the other being the 124,500 barrel per day Kurnell refinery in Sydney on the country’s east coast. (October 5, 2009)
