Linc Energy Ltd. appoints new acting chairman
Ken Dark is the new acting chairman of Australia’s Linc Energy Ltd., following the retirement of Oliver Yates from the position. Dark was previously a non-executive director of the company. He will be the acting chairman until the board appoints a permanent replacement for the position. Yates also plans to retire from the board by the end of November 2011. Linc Energy is Australia’s leader in clean coal technology. Linc Energy has proven the combination of two technologies, underground coal gasification (UCG) and gas to liquids (GTL). Together, these technologies have the potential to economically convert “stranded” coal, from deep underground, into ultra-clean liquid fuels. (September 6, 2011)
