Light vehicle sales up 16% in Korea
Korean sales of light vehicles are up 16.4% in January to May from the same period a year ago to 75,495 units, the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA) said in a recent report. Surging gasoline prices appear to have driven record-high sales. Kia’s light vehicle “Morning” had sales of 50,842 units during the period, while General Motor’s Chevy Spike sold 24,653.
