KPI to build new lubricants storage in Belgium
Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI), operating under the Q8Oils brand, will establish 24 new storage tanks for lubricants at its Antwerp blending plant in Belgium. The tanks, to be operational from June 24, will have a storage capacity of 36 million liters and will replace old tanks, which have been dismantled, said a Q8Oils statement. The project is part of a five-year plan under which Q8Oils is to increase its lubricants production capacity to 250 million liters per year. The Antwerp plant, with annual production capacity of 150 million liters, is the largest of Q8Oils’ four production facilities, according to the Q8Oils website. The company said in the statement that its aim was to transform the Antwerp plant into one of the top five lubricants production sites in Europe. (June 21, 2010)
