Korea's S-Oil to expand Onsan refinery

S-Oil, South Korea’s third-largest refiner, plans to spend 1.4 trillion won (US$1.18 billion) to expand its 580,000 barrel per day (bpd) Onsan refinery, according to Saudi Aramco, which has ownership interest in the company. Expanding the refinery would be completed by 2011, Aramco announced, without providing further details. The refinery is integrated to produce lubricating base oils and aromatic-type petrochemicals.
