Korean firm eyes biodiesel plant in Iloilo
A Korean firm, Korea Electric Power Corp. (Kepco) is planning to establish a biodiesel plant in northern Iloilo, Philippines. This was disclosed by Department of Agriculture Regional Executive Director Larry Nacionales, who added that experts of the giant Korean company are still in the country making the necessary consultations for the project. The project is seen to be the biggest biodiesel plant to be established in the country. He added that a feasibility study will be conducted next year to determine whether or not the project makes economic sense. (November 19, 2009)
