Kia introduces green brand

Kia Motors Corp. has introduced its new environmental brand, Eco Dynamics. The Eco Dynamics badge was revealed at Kia Motors’ domestic sales headquarters in Apkujeong-dong, Seoul, South Korea, along with the company’s blueprint for developing low-emission, fuel-efficient vehicles. The new brand, the company said, communicates Kia’s unique strategy and vision for vehicles with reduced environmental footprint. Furthermore, it reflects the determination of the Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group to propel Korea into one of the world’s four leading producers of green cars by expanding investments into eco-friendly vehicles and R&D. Kia’s Forte LPI hybrid car will debut in August 2009. The firm plans to introduce a mid-sized, full hybrid vehicle in 2011 and said it wants to be one of the first to commercialize a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in 2012. (March 29, 2009)
