Kazakhstan extends export ban

The Kazakhstan government has extended a ban on the export of light distillates, kerosene and gas oils for another six months. In August, Kazakhstan has already extended the ban on the export of fuels and lubricants until November 1. This measure has been taken to prevent critical deficits in the domestic market, according to reports by local media. The government instructed the Economic Development and Trade Ministry to inform member-states of the Customs Union and the Secretariat of the Customs Union Commission on this ban. (November 3, 2010)
