Kanzen to develop hybrid motorbike

Indonesia’s Inti Kanzen Motor (IKM) plans to launch a hybrid motorcycle powered by gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in 2009. The motorcycle has an engine capacity of 110 cc and has a single overhead cam (SOHC) system which refers to the internal combustion engine design where one camshaft is located above the valves. It is branded as Kanzen Taurus Ultima Hybrid Fuel System Concept. In the meantime, Gunadi Sindhuwinata, the chairperson of the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (AISI) said existing motorcycle technology had been able to reduce fuel consumption significantly. “Motorcycles are able to cover tens of kilometers with only one liter of gasoline,” he said.
