Japanese inventors patent new fuel additive
Taichi Kuroda, Hisashi Matsubayashi and Eri Arakawa, all from Japan, have developed fuel additives, the patent of which has been assigned to Taihokohzai Co. Ltd., Tokyo. According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to a “fuel additive which contains ferrocene and/or a ferrocene derivative and lecithin. A solid fuel additive which contains from 80-99% by mass of ferrocene and/or a ferrocene derivative and from 1-20% by mass of lecithin. A granular fuel additive which contains from 78-99% by mass of ferrocene and/or a ferrocene derivative, from 0.9-20% by mass of lecithin and from 0.1-2% by mass of water.” The invention carries International Patent Publication No. WO/2009/090760 on July 23.
