JAMA publishes input into EC hydrogen law
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) has published its input into the European Commission’s draft law pertaining to hydrogen-powered vehicles. JAMA said it has engaged with the commission on drafting the new laws, presenting a “set of key messages” to be taken into consideration, focusing on efforts to coordinate its research and development on the global technical regulations for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles (HFCVs). “With HFCV technological development still at an early stage, innovation must be encouraged,” JAMA stated in its latest newsletter. “JAMA therefore urges the commission to make HFCV performance specification, rather than HFCV parts and materials specification, the target of the new law.
