Isuzu says B20 to power its trucks in America
Isuzu Commercial Truck of America announced at the semi-annual board meeting of the National Biodiesel Board that all of its 2011 and forward model year diesel engines are now compatible with up to 20% biodiesel blends, also known as B20. Brian Tabel, the company’s commercial truck retail marketing manager, says Isuzu’s commitment to B20 fuel is in response to three factors: increasing consumer demand for the fuel, the results of a recent research project on B20 biodiesel blends, and the improved biodiesel fuel quality in conjunction with industry support in the United States. Isuzu Commercial Truck commands 73 to 75 percent market share of the low cab-forward medium-duty truck market in the U.S. (June 24, 2011)
