IOC launches quality assurance drive
State-owned Indian Oil Corp. (IOC) is trying to reach out to its customers on quality assurance, with demonstrations of anti-adulteration checks at its petrol pumps. A demonstration was organized recently at its outlets in Delhi to showcase the various measures, including the fuel marker system and the quality and quantity checks being conducted periodically at retail outlets. IOC has also embarked on the automation of its retail outlets to ensure close monitoring of all aspects of its retail operations. (November 29, 2006)
