Investors to sign EPC contract for Nghi Son oil refinery

Investors are expected to sign an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with their partners for the US$7-billion 10 million-ton Nghi Son oil refinery in Thanh Hoa in the next quarter.  According to local news reports, the long delayed contract will cost US$5.2 billion.  When the plant is operational in 2014, the refinery is slated to produce 2.3 million tons of gasoline, 3.7 million tons of diesel fuel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and other oil products.
