Infineum completes 2010 REACH registrations
Infineum announced that all of its eligible substances manufactured or imported to the European Union (EU) have been successfully registered to REACH, the new regulation of the EU for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. REACH aims to streamline and improve the previous legislative framework on chemicals of the European Union. According to Malcolm Evans, REACH implementation manager, “The success of Infineum’s 2010 registration project has been the result of more than two years of effort by a dedicated team.” The team is now focused on the next steps, which include completing changes to EU safety data sheets to introduce GHS (the Globally Harmonised System of classification and labeling) and other changes required by REACH.
