Indonesia’s Chandra Asri plans expansion to naphtha unit

Chandra Asri has announced a plan to debottleneck its 600,000 ton per year naphtha cracker in Merak, West Java and expand it to 1 million tons per year. The expected capacity should rise by 400,000 tons per year. The expansion is expected to cost the company US$230 million. No time frame for completion was announced. (February 21, 2011)
