Indonesian refinery to ask Iran to supply crude oil needs

Indonesia’s Chandra Asri Complex, which is owned 76.2% by the state’s Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) and 23.8% by a consortium led by Japan-based Marubeni, wants to establish the country’s biggest oil refinery and it has asked Iran to supply the 300,000 barrels of crude oil per day required by the refinery, said Suhati Marsu, one of the deputies of the Indonesian company. Indonesian officials plan to travel to Iran next month to discuss the deal, Marsu said. (June 23, 2010)
