Indonesia exports more biodiesel than Malaysia
Indonesia exported seven times more biodiesel than Malaysia in the first 25 days of August, data from independent market surveyor Intertek revealed. Indonesia, home to one of the world’s largest producers of palm biodiesel Wilmar International, exported 39,247 metric tons (mt) of biodiesel, while Malaysia exported 5,500 mt during the August 1-25 period. The 39,247 mt of biodiesel was exported by Wilmar and Musim Mas. Both companies rank among the biggest producers of palm oil in the industry. (August 25, 2010)
