India completes ground tests for synthetic aviation lube

India has successfully completed ground tests for one variety of indigenously developed synthetic aviation lubricant, and is on the verge of testing another variety, as part of its Synthetic Aviation Pilot Plant Project, according to scientists at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT). IICT scientists say it would take at least two more years before commercial production. (August 5, 2009)
