Hyundai launches eco-friendly forklift engine

South Korea’s Hyundai has launched a new eco-friendly forklift engine, believed to be the first ever locally developed engine that meets Tier 4 emissions standard of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board. The 2.4-liter engine comes in two models, with one running solely on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and the other able to run on gasoline as well as LPG. The engine will be introduced to North American and European markets later this year. (August 10, 2009)
