Husky Asia Pacific’s CEO to retire

Husky Asia Pacific announced that John Lau, former president of Husky Energy and current CEO of Husky Asia Pacific, will retire effective immediately. Lau had recently been responsible for setting up the company’s Asian operations in Hong Kong, Indonesia and the South China Sea. “Having established the framework for Husky’s business development in the Asia Pacific region, Mr. Lau has decided to step down and enjoy his well-earned retirement,” the company said. Husky Energy is an integrated oil and gas company in Canada. Before joining Husky Energy, Lau was in senior management for Li Ka-shing’s Cheung Kong Ltd. and Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. (July 20, 2011)
