HPCL expands lubricant range

Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (HPCL) will shortly commission a new lubes plant in Silvassa, western India, that will enable the oil major to expand the range of its products and increase its market share. HPCL currently markets about 300 products that include superior quality greases and lubricants for different kinds of applications, including industrial consumers, synthetic oils for passenger cars and bikes and aromatic spray oils for farm applications. Executive Director, Direct Sales, R. Sudhakara Rao, said the lubes division of HPCL currently has a 15% market share in the country and plans to take this up to 18-20% by next year.
