HPCL appoints new chairman

Arun Balakrishnan will be the new chairman and managing director of Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd. effective April 1, after incumbent Chairman MB Lal retires on March 31. Balakrishnan was director (human resources) at HPCL before this appointment. (February 13, 2007)
