Honda Siel Cars India considers capacity expansion
Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), the Indian branch of Japan’s Honda Motor Co. said that with the increasing demand for its hatchbacks–Brio and Jazz–the company is planning to allocate more funds for capacity expansion at its second plant at Tapukara in Bhiwadi, in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. The facility in Rajasthan was inaugurated in 2008 and has a capacity of 60,000 units per year, but it currently produces only critical parts for all Honda cars. (October 11, 2011)
