Hainan refinery starts supply of Euro IV-compliant diesel fuel
The China Petroleum & Chemical Corp.’s (Sinopec) southern refining unit on the island province of Hainan has started to supply Euro IV diesel to the Hong Kong market, a company official said. The special administrative region has an annual diesel demand of around 900,000 tons. The company’s Hainan refinery, which began operations in September last year, plans to produce 483,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas, 2.37 million tons of Euro III-complaint gasoline, 3.86 million tons of Euro III-complaint diesel fuel, 200,000 tons of No. 3 aviation kerosene, 215,000 tons of polypropylene, 58,000 tons of benzene and 66,000 tons of sulfur annually.
